General Recital Information

NHPA II's yearly season runs mid-August through mid-June with 2 full studio performances: an informal "mini recital" in December and our end of the year Annual Recital in June. Recital dates are TENTATIVE due to theater rental policies. These dates should be confirmed by October (for the December Holiday Show) and March (for the June Recital). Be sure to read over the NHPA II monthly eNewsletter and watch for information posted in the studio lobby and website as the season progresses.
December Holiday Show
  • No Holiday Show Fee. The December Holiday Show is more of an informal recital with shorter routines, minimal costume requirements, but plenty of entertainment!
  • Usually no Costumes will be ordered. Teachers will indicate for each class what they are required to wear for the performance.
  • Typically, students in (3-4yrs) classes will have 1 routine in Recital. Students in (5-6yrs) & (6-7yrs) classes will have 2 routines, and the (7-8yrs) & (9-10yrs) classes will have 3-4 routines in Recital. All other Levels will have a routine for every class they are in.
  • The December Holiday Show does not usually involve extra weekend events leading up to the show. All dances are learned and rehearsed during our regular class schedule.
  • All NHPA II Recitals (including the December Holiday Show) are ticketed events and those tickets usually go on sale about a month in advance of the performance.
  • The December Holiday Show is the ONLY NHPA II Recital where parents are allowed to videotape the performances. Keep in mind that you must remain in your seat while videotaping and may not get into the aisles of the theater or come down front to do so.
June Annual Recital
  • A $55 Recital Fee per student will be due early February, 2023. Those students who have not paid their Recital Fees will not have a Recital Costume ordered for them. Recital Fees confirm a student's participation in Recital and gives them access to digital downloads of ALL the NHPA II Recital shows.
  • Recital Costumes cannot be returned, therefore Costume Fees are non-refundable.
  • Costume Fees run $70-$80 per class and start coming due mid March. More information with further details will be posted after the New Year.
  • The June Recital also involves extra weekends at the studio, usually scheduled in June, for class Pictures, full show Dress Rehearsals, and Finale Production rehearsals (which usually begin in May). All of these extra events happen at NHPA II.
  • All NHPA II Recitals are ticketed events and those tickets usually go on sale about a month in advance of the performance.
  • There is NO VIDEOTAPING ALLOWED at the June Recitals. We have a professional videographer that documents the performances and participating students who have paid their Recital Fees will have access to a digital download of ALL NHPA II Recital shows.
